James Dooley has been with Nielsen since April 2016, where he started as a graduate in an analyst role. Alongside working at Nielsen, James decided to further his education by completing his Masters of Commerce (Marketing) and Research at the Melbourne Business School, a degree he began at the start of this year.
A component of his degree is research-based and requires him to be on campus, so with the support of his managers and the business, James has opted to work flexibly and has altered his working hours from full time to part-time. James’ decision to make a change in his working hours and working pattern reflects just one of the many flexible working options available to Nielsen associates in Australia and New Zealand. James now works shorter hours on Monday and Tuesdays, and he is occasionally able to shift hours between days if required.
“Working flexibly allows me to meet with lecturers and supervisors in person, as well as attend workshops and seminars which are generally scheduled during the working day. I wanted to be able to get the most out of my return to uni, and the support from Nielsen has made this easy to do.”
