Ventia is one of the largest infrastructure service providers in Australia and New Zealand. They are proud of talented and engaged people who bring their values to life, inspire confidence with clients and make a difference for the communities where they work. Ventia aims to provide opportunities for career development in a flexible, supportive and inclusive work environment.
Diverse people & diverse opportunities: Every job at Ventia is essential. From connecting people to faster networks, maintaining Defence Force facilities, fixing water pipes, cleaning contaminated land, keeping traffic flowing and ensuring schools are running, their people work across more than 10,000 sites across Australia and New Zealand. With such a wide range of opportunities, providing a long and varied career for their employees is one of our top priorities.
„I am a big believer in the importance of diversity and working in a traditionally male-dominated industry, I know it can be a challenge to achieve that. It’s not just about getting women into the team, but about creating an environment in which we can all flourish and grow.“ – Giselle Chovrat, Commercial Manager
Work on projects that make an impact: The projects Ventia works on are essential, diverse, and iconic. Whether it’s keeping a hospital in great shape, building and maintaining its roads, ensuring clean water gets to your home or even managing a bushfire response, the work done makes a difference to people’s lives. Innovation inspires Ventia; using the latest technology in drones, 3D modelling and analysis, they strive to ensure that they always deliver the best solution possible to our customers.
Ventia is committed to creating a flexible working environment that recognises the unique contributions and commitments employees make to its organisation. They realise that flexibility can mean different things to different people; for example, flexibility in working hours or location, spending more time with family or studying part-time. Ventia’s Flexible Working and Working from Home policies help its employees to support their commitments and goals.
If you’ve ever started a new role that’s a significant change from anything you’ve done before and wondered if you’ve made the right choice, Brooke White probably knows how you feel!
Three months into Brooke’s role as Project Manager for Ventia’s Digital Services Project Management Office (PMO), she met with her manager to get some feedback.
It turned out that her manager thought Brooke was doing a great job, which gave her the confidence to push forward. Four years later, Brooke now holds that manager role, leading a team of project managers and administrators as the General Manager PMO and Project Delivery.
In addition to the leadership training she’s participating in, Brooke is giving back by stepping up as a mentor to high school kids through Ventia’s partnership with ABCN mentoring program. This has allowed her the opportunity to use her skills to support and mentor students to build on their skills.
„I’m passionate about supporting others to realise their potential, and this extends to the students in the ABCN program, to my team and colleagues across Ventia.“ – Brooke White, Project Manager for Digital Services Project Management Office
