1.Carol, tell us about your career history?
I have a background in corporate HR and Recruitment, I decided it was time for a change and a new focus, so after thought and research, qualified as a career coach.
2.What was your motivation to become a coach?
I was looking to use the experience and skills I had, but with more of a helping focus than a processing focus. I love being able to help.
3.Do you have any particular areas of coaching expertise?
I enjoy it all ā but naturally tend to work with adults going through a transition ā that might be a change of career focus, returning to work, or a redundancy. I call on my recruitment experience for the job seeking skills ā which are changing all the time and I find this really interesting also. I love developing CVās.
4.What do you love most about coaching?
I love the reaction from a client once we start developing a plan forward, sometimes it is just a single step, but it can bring clarity and focus that makes all the difference.
5.How do you define success?
Success is different for everyone. The key, is to understand your own measure of success and what it means for you and most importantly how you are going to get there.
6.What is your vision for women in the workplace?
My vision for women, is the same vision I have for everyone in the workforce, opportunity, success and support. It helps to have a plan, strong self-awareness, and a supportive network which promotes confidence.
